We reached out to Taryn to hear her story.
Tell us a bit about the history of your business?
"I have a long history of working with and caring about animals that started when I was a little girl living in the Midwest.
I am driven to make a difference, I travelled around the world after which I settled on New York to begin my professional pet care experience working with local animal rescue groups, as well as a vet tech assistant."
What was your inspiration / motivation for starting the pet service business?
"After speaking with clients at the veterinary clinics I worked at, I noticed a need for in-home pet care services to be provided specifically by experts and saw this as an opportunity to combine my passion for animals, professional veterinary experience, and business knowledge (thanks to MBA degree) to build something unique for my fellow New Yorkers!
That was 16 years ago, and since then I proudly built a strong and passionate team of pet care specialists who offer pet sitting, dog walking, and vet tech services to clients in Brooklyn and Manhattan."
What are your key values?
"We are committed and extend our compassion and support within our beautiful city and beyond, to protect and champion animals in need across the globe.
As part of our yearly community service mission, this year, four members of our management team visited Best Friend's Pet sanctuary in Utah. Best Friends is the largest pet sanctuary in America."
What are your business goals? Where do you see yourselves in 5 years?
"Our goal is to continue to grow our business by forging partnerships with building management companies, meaning more opportunities for building our client base and supporting pet parents in the area. We are incredibly proud of our reputation, and the reason the business grew so quickly (and continues to grow) is mainly down to word of mouth. Our clients consistently praise the care and attention we are able to provide them and their pets, and love to recommend us to their friends, family members, and colleagues.
In 5 years time we would love to see the business covering a wider area, with a bigger team of pet care professionals – while maintaining the same high standards and service levels, and continuing to delight our clients."
What was going on in your business that sent you looking for a solution like ours?
"We encourage our clients to manage their account and bookings online, so we were looking for a more automated and streamlined online portal to help them do that. We also wanted a sleeker website with an easy to use website builder that would let us add and edit the current pages."

"It is a software specific to pet businesses, and we were confident that the Easy Busy Pets Team had the experience and specialty knowledge to help us achieve our goals as a larger professional pet care service. "

"Streamlining our online portal has improved efficiency and made things easier for both our clients and the business as a whole. We have grown to over 26 workers, and we couldn't have maintained the same quality levels and scale while maintaining our key values without the Easy Busy Pets platform!
The efficiency savings have given us more time to spend working on charitable projects, and pursuing our mission to change the lives of animals in need."
